Who We Are
ARISE stands for A Rise In Spiritual Excellence and our mission is to inspire a connection with Allah through Knowledge, Activism and Sisterhood. We are a youth group for Muslim girls aged 8 to 25 years old with over 200 members.
By the grace of Allah, we have been running youth activities for Muslim girls in High Wycombe since 2010. Our youth group is a branch of WISE whose hope is to develop young people spiritually, physically, and intellectually to become righteous believers upon Qur’an and Sunnah.
We combine fun, faith and friendship to encourage girls aged 8 to 25 years old to love their religion, find good companions, stay connected to the Masjid, contribute to the community and develop as young Muslimahs.
What We Offer
Saturday Night Buzz (Ages 8-14)
First Saturday of Every Month | WISE Masjid
A monthly gathering for younger girls 6pm to 9pm featuring:
Competitions , Crafts & Games, Snacks & Pizza & Islamic Reminders
Holiday Workshops(Ages 11 to 18)
Once a week in School Holidays | Hive/Masjid
Islamic themed activity sessions with islamic reminder, discussion, games, crafts and fun activities and an annual trip.

Shade Chats (Ages 14-25)
Third Saturday of Alternate Months 6pm – 9pm | WISE Masjid
Islamic circles on relevant topics for sisters aged 14 – 25 years old, with pizza and socialising.
Annual Summer Retreat (Ages 14+)
Summer Holidays | Residential Retreat
A 2 night residential trip for sisters aged 14 to 25 years with fun packed activities, watersport. competitions, islamic reminders, campfire chats, stargazing, and deep conversations.

Winter Holidays | WISE Masjid
A overnight stay at the mosque for girls aged 11 to 18 years with Islamic reminders, hot chocolate, deep conversations, and very little sleep.
Who Runs ARISE?
For the youth, by the youth
Our activities are delivered by an incredible young team of volunteers in the ARISE Executive Committee including Husna, Maryam, Naima, Imaan, Sana, Yusra, Safoorah and Asma. We also have a mentoring group where we encourage our young Muslim attendees to help and give back to the community. We are managed by senior sister, Auntie Wajiha, who helps lead us with Islamic guidance, tarbiyyah, and safety.
Safety and Wellbeing
Young people at WISE are both a blessing and a responsibility. Their care and wellbeing are a priority for the mosque.
We commit to ensuring there are two adults at every event, a first aider, a fire marshall, DBS certified volunteers, and good knowledge of all WISE policies and procedures which you can access at www.wise-web.org/policies-and-procedures/
We hope we can offer a safe space for girls to access support and advice.
