The Fear of Allah

Almighty Allah says:

‘Surely those of His servants who know fear Allah’ [Al-Fatir v28]

Allah further says:

‘It is only Shaytaan who suggests to you the fear of his supporters; so fear them not but fear Me, if you are (true) Believers’ [Al-Imraan v175]

Remember

•Prophet Muhammad (S) has the most knowledge and fear of Almighty Allah [Bukhari]
•It is inconceivable that a Believer does not have even a slight fear of Allah, the Most High
•Allah urges the Believers to draw nearer to Him through love, fear, hope and knowledge
•Fear of Allah restrains the body from disobedience and evil actions
•Lack of fear results in following the Shaytaan
•We are accountable for our deeds and must therefore fear the Day we will be raised and questioned over our actions
•The one who fears Allah is the one who abandons that which may bring Allah’s anger and punishment
•Whoever fears something runs away from it whereas whoever fears Allah runs towards Him
•Fear tames the limbs and fills the heart with submission, humility and tranquillity
•Allah rewards Jannah to those of the Believers who fear their Lord and gain Allah’s pleasure [Al-Baiyyinah v8]

DO

•Fear Almighty Allah as this burns up forbidden desires
•Fear Allah as this drives out arrogance, hatred and envy from the heart
•Fear Allah in order be granted guidance, mercy and knowledge
•Supplicate to Allah to instil in you complete love and fear of Him
