This is one of our most critically important projects led by a very caring sincere learned Talib-ul-Ilm who can instill the true understanding of Islam to Muslim and Christian orphans.

The project can’t start without your donations! The poor in Nigeria are in a dire situation, with food prices and rents out of the reach of large proportions of society, the economy worsening, corruption meaning that the majority of rich Nigerians ignoring the suffering of the poor, widows and orphans. Donations are hard to get in Nigeria and so they rely on handouts from charities from overseas charities!

However, hardly any charities work in Nigeria due to the worry about scams and corruption.

This concerned us as well, but we have identified one charity, Al-Huda, which is run by very sincere knowledgeable Muslims, with the same beliefs, minnhaj and ideology as WISE. The chairperson is a Talib-ul-Ilm who has graduated from a reputable islamic institution to serve as an imam, teacher and daiee. He is a compassionate person and cannot bear seeing poor people, especially kids and ends up spending all of own his money such that he goes without food and ends up in debt himself. He himself was a poor orphan living in the poorest area of Nigeria and so feels for them because of his own suffering in poverty during childhood. AK was from an extremely poor Christian family, and his life changed when he found Islam, alhamdulillah. He started studying, learnt Arabic language and grammar, and qualified as an imam alhamdulillah. So many people have come to Islam due to his work masha’Allah. The orphans and lost street kids in Nigeria are relying on your donations so that Allah s.w.t can use Al-Huda, with your kind donations, to guide and nurture them, saving not only their lives but also their souls insha’Allah.

$9600 Monthly cost to cover cost for accommodation and teaching hifdh, Islam and 100 orphans, imam and teachers’ salaries , cleaners, caretaker , clothing and bedding, text books, school uniform, bags, medical checks and treatment, food, electricity , water , cooking gas and other bills annual results in estimated monthly spending of $9600.

The subject that the pupils are going to learn are Quran, Qaidah, Tawheed, Imlah, Seerah, fiqh, Tajweed, Arabic (depends on the level) , Adhkar and dua, Nahw and soofu (also depends on their level), Ta’abir, Hadith, Adab. The orphans are all going to memorize the complete Quran and some other Islamic text.

Also, additional school educational subjects like Mathematics , English, Home Economics, Social Studies, Basic Science, Quantitative Reasoning, Agricultural Science and Computer Science.

Remember the importance of SUPPORTING THE ORPHAN in Islam, as emphasized by our beloved Prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wasallam [S.A.W]): “‘I and the one who sponsors an orphan SHALL BE IN PARADISE (JANNAH) like these two’ — and he raised his index finger and the one next to it, holding them closely together, barely separate” (Bukhari, No. 5304).”
