Covid-19 is not only disrupting economies and businesses but is also severely impacting charities that rely solely on donations to operate.
In these unprecedented and testing times, WISE has temporarily closed the masjid and postponed all activities in light of this crisis. This will undoubtedly have a direct impact on the masjid’s operations, including the expected decline in income, especially from the Friday collections. Nevertheless, the masjid will still need to continue meeting its monthly expenditures. As you can appreciate, this will have a devastating financial impact in the coming weeks.
WISE has always sustained itself with the kind and generous donations from you and is therefore appealing to you now for help. We appreciate that this a time of amplified anxiety and people are feeling particularly vulnerable, but we must remind ourselves that peace and security are ultimately from Allah.
We need your help so we can continue to offer vital services to our community. Please click below to our Total Giving page and donate generously to aid the masjid.

Racism is evil. Black, brown, white. African, Asian, European. Race, nationality and culture are just social constructs but so often lead to oppression, injustice, hatred. And inhumanity. Slavery, genocide, apartheid, prejudice, discrimination all perpetrated simply because one human being is seen as inherently inferior to another. At a political or social level, this still exists […]
Black and White, that’s how many of us view the world. In the beginning at least. Things make sense, we think. We know where we stand, grounded in reality, able to judge what is right and wrong, able to pass judgment on others. We are filled with confidence, perhaps self-righteousness. All is right and as […]
Ramadan, a blessed month that gives us an opportunity to gain better consciousness of Allah and improve our self-control.A simple Google search can highlight tons of medical benefits of fasting – it is even recommended by some top nutritionists. For some of us, however, Ramadan starts with a bang, by that I mean, a banging […]
A person who has worked many, great deeds must not become complacent; rather he must busy himself with showing gratitude. The ability to be grateful is one of Allāh’s greatest blessings that He confers on His servant. It is obligatory upon him to return the deeds he has done with gratitude and realise his deficiency […]
In His Book, Allāh, Most High, has informed us that He is the Protector of the believers and that He protects the righteous; subsumed by this is the fact that He safeguards what is good for them both in this life and the Hereafter, and that He will not abandon them to another. Allāh, Most […]
It is truly an ignorant person who complains about Allāh to people. Such a person has displayed the deepest depths of ignorance concerning both Allāh and people: if he truly knew Allāh, he would never complain about Him; if he truly understood people, he would never complain to them. One of the pious predecessors saw a […]
Allāh, Glorious and Most High, made patience a race horse that never falters or stumbles, a sword that never loses its sharpness, a vanquishing army that is never defeated, a fortress that does not dilapidate and is never taken by force. Patience and divine help are like two blood brothers that never separate.Divine help comes […]
