IMPORTANT

Covid-19 is not only disrupting economies and businesses but is also severely impacting charities that rely solely on donations to operate.

In these unprecedented and testing times, WISE is following COVID-19 safe guidelines for its day to day operations, and many activities are postponed as a result. This will undoubtedly have a direct impact on the masjid’s operations, including the expected decline in income, especially from the Friday collections. Nevertheless, the masjid will still need to continue meeting its monthly expenditures. As you can appreciate, this will have a devastating financial impact in the coming weeks.

WISE has always sustained itself with the kind and generous donations from you and is therefore appealing to you now for help. We appreciate that this a time of amplified anxiety and people are feeling particularly vulnerable, but we must remind ourselves that peace and security are ultimately from Allah.

We need your help so we can continue to offer vital services to our community. Please click below to our Total Giving page and donate generously to aid the masjid.

WISE is an organisation serving the community to promote the progress and prosperity of mankind in this life and the next by calling to the true teachings of Islam and the worship of one God (Allah). It aims to empower Muslims with the tools and confidence to live Islam, face the challenges of the modern world and make a positive, meaningful contribution to society. It provides a centre that will serve as a community hub and strives to build bridges with the wider community, promoting and strengthening social cohesion.

We hope to provide clear and accurate information about Islam, the fastest growing religion in the world. Here you will find information about the activities organised by WISE as well as interesting articles on various topics of Islam. For more info about WISE please click here

The Worth of Man

The worth of every man is judged by what he seeks. The value of a person who seeks Allāh is beyond measure; a person who covets this world is too lowly to be valued.al-Shiblī said, ‘Whoever clings to this world will be burned in its blaze, becoming ashes blown about by the wind. Whoever clings […]

Shyness

Aḥmad and ibn Ḥibbān record on the authority of ʿAbdullāh b. al-Mughaffal (RA) that a man met a woman who used to be a prostitute in the Days of Ignorance. While flirting with her, he extended his hand towards her upon which she said, ‘Stop, Allāh has removed shirk and brought Islām,’ so he removed […]
